Our COVID Guidelines

Everyone in New Millennium Chamber Orchestra loves making music together in person, but we need to do it in a way that doesn’t jeopardize the health of our members, families, friends, and audiences.  Because COVID is still with us and will likely peak again in the winter months, along with the flu,  please follow these guidelines to keep everyone healthy.

1. If you feel sick, DO NOT come to rehearsal. Even if it’s “just a cold,” please don’t share it with your fellow musicians.

2. If you have COVID-like symptoms, please test to be sure it’s not COVID.

3. If you get COVID, please don’t return to rehearsal or play concerts until your symptoms are gone and you’ve had two negative tests at least 24 hours apart.

4. If you’ve been in contact with someone who has COVID, please test before attending any rehearsals or concerts.

5. If you are at higher risk for getting COVID (often in crowded indoor settings, have school-age children, etc), consider contacting a substitute who could fill in for you in case you end up with COVID over a concert weekend.

6. Stay current with your COVID boosters and flu shots.

7. If you live with household members who are at high risk from COVID, please wear a mask at rehearsals and concerts to keep them safe.
